Originally from Mississippi, he is a fifth generation entrepreneur. "I can remember my Papaw teaching me at the ripe age of 5 how to speak to people properly and do business honestly. After spending two years traveling & working in places like NYC, South Africa, Ecuador, Chile & Europe, just to name a few, he settled on Steamboat Springs in 2008.An avid snowboarder, mountain biker, & lover of all things Colorado, Matt enjoys living in the heart of "Old Town" Steamboat Springs. Biking just 5 blocks to work everyday, he is the embodiment of the Steamboat lifestyle. In Matt’s opinion, he has it made, "It's an amazing place to live. The Free Concert Series, Main Street Farmer's Markets, powder days; there's always something fun to do!”Since joining Colorado Group Realty in 2012, Matt has been honored in the Best Real Estate Agent category of the Best of the Boat contest 4 years in a row. In 2014, Matt was named as Colorado Group Realty’s Rising Star & in 2015, he became the youngest owner in the history of the company. Matt was named as one of the first 20 Young Professionals under 40 in 2016, an honor only bestowed to 20 young professionals every year for outstanding community service & business practices. When he’s not with clients or in the woods, Matt enjoys serving on the Board of Directors for the Steamboat Springs Arts Council, chairing the newly formed Steamboat Creates Committee & serving on the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation.
